January Challenges

Looking for some inspiration to kick off your creativity this year?  Here's what the DT and GDT is challenging you with this month:

Carla's Challenge:
I got this big flower in one the December kit, and the rest is from January Petite kit. I challenge you this month to use a flower (or flowers) as a mat for a photo.

Jules' Challenge:
This is a fun challenge...one we have done before but thought it would be a great time to do something like it again!
For this layout:

I used a few things that really were meant for the trash! The 'sweetness - picture perfect' is ACTUALLY the name of the paper that I used! I saw it and thought instantly that would be a super title...well...it worked perfect! Also the little thing that I wrote their names on was cut out from the package that the larger embellishments came in! Just a mini picture of it!

So my challenge to you is to use something that you might consider 'trash' on your layout! (we are trying to save a few pennies from our Christmas shopping aren't we???)

Can't wait to see what you use! Look at how your embellishments come packaged (Prima is super for using their stuff!)....or even a tag off an article of clothing....ribbon from a package....I bet you have something!

Lee's Challenge:
Well I made this LO using the Jan. Petite Kit, so much fun to work with. I hope you were able to get a kit!

I love rub-ons and embossing, so for this months challenge, use at least 3 rub-ons on a LO and use one embossed embellie that you've embossed yourself. Have fun!!

Michelle's Challenge:
Recently many of you were discussing fancy papers and how hard it is to sometimes take the plunge and slice into these beauties. So my challenge for you this month is to get out one (or more) of those special papers you've been holding onto and create a LO about YOU! After all, who is more deserving of a LO made with beautiful, fancy papers than you!

For an added bonus, create your YOU page about a hope, dream, goal, resolution (whatever you want to call it) for 2011. If you include all 3 of these things: fancy paper, photo of you, and journaling about your goal(s) for 2011, I will put your name in for a little RAK from me.

GDT Chris' Challenge:
This month I challenge to create a layout according to this recipe.
You must include these basic "ingredients" but are free to add your own Flavorings to the recipe :D

1 photo
3 patterned papers
3 flowers
Ribbon
Bling

Here is the layout I made using this recipe

I added white card stock and letter stickers for extra flavoring.
Hope you'll share your takes on these challenges with us over at the forum!
