Scrapbook Heaven News

We have two exciting things to share with you today! First- a Guest Design Team Call. Here is all the info and you can always ask questions on The Forum.

We are looking for enthusiastic and talented crafters who would like to work with our kits.

As our guest designer you will play with our fabulous design team from December 2011 and January 2012, designing with our December and January Scrapbook Heaven kits, and join us in our monthly crops.

· Short Bio
· List any design team experience and publications you may have had
· Photos of your 3 favorite projects (layouts, cards, altered items)

Check out the Scrapbook Heaven gallery this week for some gorgeous creations. We especially loved this adorable layout by Dana. The cute little banner and the adorable clouds make this an eye-catching layout!

Technique: Fussy Cutting

Ever heard the term Fussy Cutting and wondered what it meant? Fussy Cutting refers to cutting out a specific image from patterned paper and using it as a seperate focus. Ready to see Fussy Cutting in action? The November Petite Kit has a gorgeous leaf paper you can see ont he bottom of this layout:

After I cut the paper in half to use on this layout, I still had a half sheet left which I fussy cut several different leaves from for this card:

Fussy Cutting is a great technique to use when you've purchased paper you love but don't have any coordinating embelishments. By cutting out specific images you create your own accents.

This one is from me:

One of my favorite ways to accent a card or page is to stitch it. This sketch has some stitching, but you could just as easily doodle, or create a mat for the space.
