March Crop: {Make}ing Progress!

You've heard of Progressive Dinners, right? You travel from home to home eating a different course at each stop. Well, we're putting a scrapbooking spin on that idea to bring you March's Crop Event: {Make}ing Progress. Here's how it will work: Beginning on Wednesday March 28th, each of the DT will share their "foundation challenge" with you. Each day after, right through Saturday, we will add a piece to the challenge. In the end you'll have a completed layout (or 4--one for each DT progressive challenge). And because we know you girls are crazy mad scrappers, we'll be sprinkling in some sketches along the way to give you even more inspiration to create layouts. We have two exciting things to share with you today! First- a Guest Design Team Call. Here is all the info and you can always ask questions on The Forum.

We are looking for enthusiastic and talented crafters who would like to work with our kits.

As our guest designer you will play with our fabulous design team from December 2011 and January 2012, designing with our December and January Scrapbook Heaven kits, and join us in our monthly crops.

Soaking up the sun...are you?? A lot of time when we are out soaking up the sun we love to catch up on our reading too. Have you ever really looked at how many different fonts are used to write a book? There are bold words, italic words, all caps to express emotion of some sort, chapter titles are often done in a different font. Let's go with that this week, for your challenge you need to use at LEAST 4 different fonts on your layout, you can use them in the title alone or spread it however you want but we want to clearly see 4 different fonts throughout your layout!

 This week's theme is "Out and About," but how about looking no further than the town in which you live. Every town has a story. Is there a historical landmark in your town? {General George Washington passed through my town, and I'm pretty sure he slept in a house-now-turned-museum--need to brush up on my history a bit.} Or a favorite place you like to visit--for us it's our town's library and park. Scrapbook a LO about your town (or your childhood town) for this challenge.

Summer Scrapsation Crop!

It's summer time and the scrappin' is easy! At least it will be when you play along with Scrapbook Heaven's Summer Scrapsation Crop.

Join us each week beginning June 6th for 12 whole weeks as the Design Team inspires you with sketches, color combinations, and fun challenges. The Summer Scrapsation Crop is sure to spark your creativity and have you creating pages and cards all summer long. Prizes will be awarded each month and a grand prize will be awarded at the end of the summer.

We're having a Garden Party!

It's that time of year! The sun is shining, days are longer, and everything is "coming up roses!" -- actually, more than just roses.

Scrapbook Heaven is having a Flower Garden Online Crop! Our DT will share some beautiful variations of hand-made flowers with you. Create a project of your choosing, using the flower tutorial, and you'll have your name entered for our grand prize!

Our crop starts on Friday, May 20th, in the Scrapbook Heaven forum. Projects are due by Sunday, May 29th. Hope to see you there!

Scraplift Crop begins Tomorrow!

If you've been scrapbooking for any length of time, then you've probably heard the term SCRAPLIFTING. Scraplifting is "borrowing" or using another person's page layouts and/or ideas-- to inspire your own creation (while giving credit, of course!). Isn't imitation the highest form of flattery?!

The DT at Scrapbook Heaven have searched through the gallery for some wonderful layouts and cards to scraplift. Join us on Saturday, April 16th as we share them on the forum. You, too, can "lift" some of our favorites! See you there! Challenges are due April 30th.
